Skipper Kuljit gone all-wrong !!!!!!  Interesting thing to note for this match is the run rate with which TrendSetters accelerated towards the target. All Kuljit has to do is score another 41 in 9.1 overs.

TrendSetters while chasing a very well composed total of 167, choked to superb fielding by the determined NewWaves. TrendSetters were cruising just fine, but poor running between the wickets costed them the match. Earlier, NewWaves batted wonderfully, with Sumeet yet again in fine form made a well deserved half-century and with some fine electrifying batting by Kishore helped Nws cruise to 167 in the allotted 30 overs. TrendSetters clearly lacked the juice in their bowling without their star players Badri, Yatin, and Raghu etc. Yatin showed up later in the innings, but couldn’t do much. Pitch has nothing to offer either.

TS started fiercely with fine boundaries and couple of huge sixes from opener Shoban. With no juice from the pitch, Nws bowling had not much effect on the TS batting. However, Sumeet took a fine catch at mid-on to send Shoban back to the pavilion, with that, TS started losing wickets at regular intervals. The game was balanced, with a lot of batting yet to come. Yatin and Chetan kept the scoreboard ticking, but Yatin lost his concentration and was out caught by Baddam off Zia Haque at mid-on. Chetan was going well on the other side, but was out when his hook took an outer edge, he was caught & Bowled by Sumeet for 35. Kuljit and KP got together to sail TS towards the target, but Kuljit was run out soon to some fine piece of fielding from Kuldeep and his return to the wicket keeper found him well short of the crease. KP was left alone and Kuljit continued to be his by-runner, having not recovered from his run out earlier, Kuljit lost his concentration and was completely lost in making up his mind to respond to a second run and was found way way short of the crease. This was again a fine fielding display by Sumanth TrendSetters finally lost the match by 40 runs.

Kuljit said ‘I cannot believe, we lost the match. It will be difficult for me to recover from this game. We have a poor record of running between the wickets, we hope to do better from next match on’. Kuldeep was very content with the match; He has all praise for his fielders and his batsmen.
