made out to "Kuljit-Singh Nijjar".

(vii)

II       Cigarettes/Smoking -- Strictly prohibited on the playing field

(i)

If you have to smoke, as a courtesy please get off the field and smoke. No smoking while fielding/batting/umpiring. There will be absolutely no cigarettes/smoking by umpires or players, allowed within the boundary line. We are not picking on an individual player/s here, but this has to really stop.

(ii)

Umpire should call no ball if player is caught smoking.

(iii)

No specific attire is required, but players must wear shoes. No slippers or sandals--

(iv)

Cell phone -- carry them on the field but as soon as you have to use it, get off the field and get a substitute.

All these rules may be harsh but it is just a way of showing respect for the other people who have come to play as well

III       Rules Start of Play/Timings/Volunteers/ Fines. (For FFCC members only)

(i)

What should each and every member of FFCC who is interested in playing on Saturdays or Sundays do?

(a)

Send an email to knijjar@yahoo.com on or before THURSDAYs about their availability

(b)

Please send me your email in the following format Subject Field: Saturday --- Yes, Sunday ----- No (Or) Saturday ---- Yes, Sunday --- Yes

(c)

Confirmed list will be posted on our web page in the following directory http://frankford.freeservers.com/rsvp/

(d)

Check their emails on every Fridays to find When/Where (which ground) are we playing in

(e)

$5 fine for people confirming but not showing up, they must pay this prior to playing the next game

(f)

If Confirming and not showing up repeats 5 times. The player has to pay $25 to become a FFCC member.

(g)

Walk ins – We at FFCC do allow Walk ins provided you pay a minimal non-confirmed playing fee of $2. As we want to encourage cricket and not curb and restrict people from playing-- there are many genuine reasons why people cannot confirm. But at the same time charge 2$ fines for these walk ins -- A 2$ fine isn’t much of a fine to someone even with a genuine reason but at the same time it discourages people who always know that they are going to come but just forget or are too lazy to send the email.  If I were not sure about coming I wouldn’t confirm but will be more than willing to pay the 2$ fine if I am available at the last moment-- also don’t call it a fine-- call it a non confirmed playing fee -- Walk-ins are ALLOWED. If your name is not on the confirmed list you are eligible to play the game if you pay the $2 fine before the start of the game.

(h)

The game will start on the scheduled time on Saturday or Sunday. As soon as we have 13 players (Or) the Captains decide to start we will start the game.

(i)

Players who come after the start of the game should bring $2 fines. The 1st delivery bowled shall mark the commencement of the game. Let me clear this rule. After the start of the game means, once the toss is done, players are in the field and the first ball delivered. Period. If you are not in the ground when the first ball of the game was delivered you have to pay the fine. (I was in my car when the first ball was being bowled, doesn’t count).

(j)

No FFCC player will be allowed to play the game, if he shows after the completion of 5 overs.

(ii)

A record will be kept on the FFCC Web site of all such penalties. Also this list will be displayed at the ground. All proceeds will go towards the development of FFCC. All the fines should be paid to either Uday or Chetan.

(iii)

Players who haven’t shown in the past 3 months will be removed from ffccgroup mail group.

(iv)

Anyhow, If these mails look interesting, (good time pass at work reading this stuff) and you would like to be part of FFCC mailing list, please rejoin

(v)

I (Kuljit) would like to volunteer myself by coming 30 mins prior to the scheduled time. I will put all the flags wickets, crease, and make the ground ready to play. Any one who is willing to volunteer (stays close to the ground) can help me out.

(vi)

Your help in candidly following the above is needed and appreciated!

IV      Selection of Sunday’s team shall follow the rules below.

(i)

Players who work on Saturday and cannot play on that day shall be given first priority for Sunday’s game.

(ii)

All other players must play a game on Saturday and should sign up in advance (Confirm for both days Saturday/Sundays).

(iii)

There will not be any game on Sunday if, by Friday morning we do not have 11 Confirmed players. We will straight away call the opposite team and cancel the game.

(iv)

Bottom line a player should play a game on Saturday in order to make himself available for the Sunday’s game.

(v)

Please send me your email in the following format Subject Field: Saturday --- Yes, Sunday ----- No (Or) Saturday ---- Yes, Sunday --- Yes

(vi)

In case a player is out of town and cannot come on Saturday, he shall be eligible for Sunday’s game.

(vii)
